3 How does MandarinRocks ensure the course and teachers are right for me? Mandarinrocks offers courses at 9 levels from total beginner to advanced level. Suitable course is arranged on the basis of your requirement and placement test before or upon your arrival. In case there is no suitable group course starting on your arrival if you sign up for group course, we will convert it into individual course (Lesson Length will be shortened to 30 min).
All the teachers are strictly selected and trained. Teaching certificate and experience is a must. The most suitable teacher will be arranged to teach you in accordance with your requirement when you choose to take individual class.
4 Is there any guarantee of the proficiency level that I can reach
at the end of course?
Our superior
teaching resource combined with the most strict quality control
system ensures every student gain the most from our lessons.
Students that accomplish more than 80% of the signed up course
and pass course end test get MandarinRocks Certification to testify their language
skills.
5 I have never been to China or learn any Chinese before. Are there any suggestions for participants like me? Many of our students are just learning Chinese and traveling to China for the first time. We arrange everything from airport pick-up, housing, orientation tour, weekend excursions to even internship and volunteer placement so you don't have to worry about the details. Advice and information will be provided prior to your departure and throughout the program. The warm reception from the teachers and staff will help you feel at home right from the start and ensures that you receive the assistance needed to make your stay in Shanghai pleasant, safe and interesting.
6 How will you arrange the accommodation for the duration of course?
MandarinRocks offers various housing options with easy access to school upon request for the duration of course. The basic Options are Private Studio and Single Room in Shared Apartment. They are conveniently located downtown with easy access to public transportation (all within 25 minutes public transportation to school). Host family, serviced apartment, hotel, hostel can also be arranged upon your request.
7 Is internet access available in your apartments or school?
Yes, there is free broadband internet access in our private studio and shared apartment. We also have computers and wireless internet access in our school.
8 How do I change my schedule and
pace for individual course?
If you want to cancel or reschedule whole
week’s (or more) lessons, inform us one week in advance.
If you want to cancel or reschedule next day’s lesson,
inform us one day in advance (before 18:00)Rescheduling &
Making up for the missed lessons are not guaranteed when we
are given too short a notice, however, MandarinRocks will take
best efforts to ensure the consistency and quality of lessons
despite students’ frequent change of time.
9 What can I do in my free time?
Shanghai is a lively metropolis, with an exciting cultural scene.
The city offers a broad range of events throughout the year to satisfy the tastes of all age groups. It has numerous museums, temples, galleries, theaters, cinemas and exhibitions. There are frequent concerts of all types of music - opera, classical, jazz, rock, etc. Formula 1 Grand Prix, Tennis Masters Cup, Motor GP and other international sports events are held in Shanghai yearly. These make it possible for you to enjoy the city and its events while learning Chinese.

10How do I enroll in your programs?
1 Complete Application Form and send in person, by fax or via internet
2 We will contact with you in telephone, fax or via internet and issue invoice for your program
3 Bookings with deposit will be confirmed (bank transfer, cash, credit card)
4 Full balance of payment must be paid prior to set deadline date for your specific start date
5 Advice and information will be provided prior to your departure

11 How and where do I apply for a visa? Can MandarinRocks solve my visa problem?
You need to apply for travel visa (L Visa) in one of the embassies in your city or country and MandarinRocks can help you extend your visa
15 days before expiry in accordance to Chinese government policy.
