Foreigners visiting China are required to hold a valid visa to enter the country. The airport authorities do not issue visas and you have to apply for a visa in advance.
You should apply for L visa (tourist visa) in your local Chinese embassy or consulate. The traveler visa is valid from 30 to 90 days. MandarinRocks will help you extend visa in China through qualified agency if you need to stay over 12 weeks. A new visa policy in 2009 eliminates the difference of duration and the number of entries. All visas will be multiple entry, has 6 months validity since the day it is issued, and 12 months duration of stay.
